Pollution and Sustainable Thinking

IMG_4841On Sunday, January 15, 2017, in Faenza, at the International Museum of Ceramics the Workshop was held CircolarER. It was organized by the youth FutureDem. The fundamental issue was circular economy and the way in which politics, science and industry are facing global pollution as a problem. It is now time to implement pragmatic practices to adopt concrete solutions. Many voices animated the debate. Our intention is to contribute with Sustainability.

The Principle of Energy Predominance

Pollution means talking about something that hinders the world of the living. In this regard the reference to natural principles seems appropriate. The principle of predominance of energy states on our planet energy resources are abundant in nature: over time every pejorative dysfunction is brought back to its natural balance. This view is in opposition to the assumption of the Green Economy that resources are scarce and limited.

The solution. Towards Economic Regeneration: the Renaissance Economy

The search for bio-imitative and environmentally sustainable products rather than the fury of resource efficiency. The search for new technologies aimed at using the abundant resources in nature rather than depleting it of its resources.

The solution is the economic regeneration where markets are transformed by type of consumption, shifting from material goods to intangible goods, adhering to aspirational and cultural needs.

Territory and People

Precisely in this perspective, the territory is fundamental: it is the place where intangible values are generated. These are unique and cannot be reproduced elsewhere.

The intangible nature draws on human resources for creativity, positivity, harmony: for this reason, it finds its fundamental premise in the awareness of everyone and in the consequences of one’s choices. In turn, social cohesion is a direct result of the enhancement of the person in the territory, since both are actively involved in the intangible and cultural regeneration emerging with unique characteristics.

SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) are essential elements in this change: they link their activities to the nature of the territory with a view to produce essentially intangible assets.

Intangible assets, territory, people, awareness, SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). This is the solution to the environmental problem that sustainable thinking proposes. We do, too.
