Article 1. of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
This is the point of departure of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, that remembers us a very important but often forgotten and not applied verity. Human rights are pre-existent to the law, that’s us. Human being is the basis of this. Our humanity is interconnected and rooted in these universal values: in fact we are connected to each other by these rights, by solidarity and by the implementation of the resulting responsibilities.
